Day 4
Believe it or not, Elly and Arnsteinn actually decided to take it easy for a day! The term “easy” defined loosely. The day started off as usual with some form of mush for breakfast. The two had the luxury of leaving the tent up all day since they were planning on staying two nights in Skaftafell, a popular access point for Vatnajokull National Park. Of course they did have something epic planned, but since it was early in the summer most of the trails were still covered with snow. Instead, they took a few easy hikes up to some view points for glaciers, ate delicious fish ‘n’ chips for lunch, and then went for an evening stroll to some more glaciers. Sounds like a good day to me!
